Television actress Avika Gor, who played the role of Roli on popular TV show "Sasural Simar Ka," recently made headlines when reports of the actress quitting the show surfaced.
It has now been revealed that television actress Mansi Srivastava will be stepping into the shoes of Avika, the Times of India reports. The actress will be playing the role of Roli and is expected to start shooting for the show early next month. Mansi currently plays the role of Parvathi in "Neeli Chatri Waale" and will reportedly continue shooting for both the shows simultaneously.
It has been reported that Avika, who rose to fame with "Balika Vadhu," decided to quit the show as she wanted to take a break from her hectic 10-year acting career and is willing to explore other opportunities. However, there were reports that the makers of "Sasural Simar Ka" were mulling over the idea of replacing Avika as the actress had been unable to dedicate time to the daily soap because of her film projects down south.
Recently, in an interview with Tellychakkar.com, Avika had cited that she wanted her character to die instead of someone replacing her. "Yes, I have quit Sasural. Ideally, I would like my character Roli to be killed as RoSid means a lot to me," she had said.
However, the makers wanted to continue with the character and had reportedly approached Roopal Tyagi, who participated in "Bigg Boss 9," to replace Avika. Another "Bigg Boss 9" contestant Digangana Suryavanshi was approached for the role as well.
