Colors' "Sasural Simar Ka" is all set to hit a milestone. The popular show, which has been entertaining viewers with supernatural tracks including naagins, dayans and witches, will be completing five years of successful run on April 25.
To celebrate the moment, Dipika Kakar, who plays the lead role of Simar, has organised a party on the sets for the cast and crew of the show. According to reports, Dipika has personally sent out invitation cards to the entire team of "Sasural Simar Ka," as well as some of her close friends from the industry to join in the celebration after the shoot.
"It's a way I'm looking at meeting old people who have been connected to the show be it technicians or actors and celebrating this whole day together," IANS quoted Dipika as saying. "The idea actually is to get the onscreen and behind the screen family of 'Sasural Simar Ka' together and celebrate this day as it is a milestone we have achieved," she added.
Recently, Dipika was in news when a fan harassed her by sending her text messages and calling her frequently. According to reports, the fan came on the sets to meet Dipika and although the actress assumed it to be a usual fan interaction, he later started harassing her. The actress, however, told India Forums that she doesn't want to file an FIR as she has no time for it.
Meanwhile, Colors' channel had recently aired a special crossover episode between "Sasural Simar Ka" and "Swaragini," wherein Simar was seen celebrating Baisakhi with Swara Maheshwari (Helly Shah). Besides celebrating the festival, Swara also helped her friend Simar to find her family members who suddenly vanished from the venue. The duo later learnt that Prem (Dheeraj Dhoopar), Siddhant (Manish Raisinghani) and others disappeared because of Chandramani (Vindhya Tiwary), who wanted to seek revenge from Simar.
