Television actress Avika Gor, who played the role of Roli on popular show "Sasural Simar Ka," recently shot her last episode with the entire team of the show, including Dipika Kakar aka Simar. Avika had been associated with the show since its inception and had earned accolades for her excellent performances.
Her co-star Manish Raisinghan aka Siddhant took to social media to share a picture from Avika's last day of shoot. Manish also opened up on whether he will miss Avika on the sets or not during an interview with Tellychakkar.com. "Of course I am going to miss Avika and I believe everyone from the team will do so. The best part of acting with Avika is that she is a fabulous artist," Manish said.
"See we have done two short films together. I have three concepts in my mind right now. But, I am not sure whether we will work together or not as it completely depends on our timings," he said when asked about teaming up with Avika in another project.
Alan Kapoor, who plays the role of Amar Malhotra on the show, told India Forums that it was an emotional moment for the team and that they are going to miss Avika on the sets. "It is a very emotional moment for all of us. Avika is a brilliant person to work with and an amazingly warm person off-screen. She has always been so friendly and sweet. We are surely going to miss her dearly and now along with the show progressing and Avika not being there, it is surely going to be this empty space," he said.
It had been reported that Avika, who rose to fame with "Balika Vadhu," decided to quit the show as she wanted to take a break from her hectic 10-year acting career and is willing to explore other opportunities.
There were reports that Mansi Srivastava would be stepping into the shoes of Avika. However, latest reports suggest that Mansi will not be essaying the role of Roli, instead she will play a new character named Dr. Prerna, who will be helping Simar to find her sister Roli.
