Television actress Mansi Srivastava, who plays the role of Prerna on "Sasural Simar Ka," and Mohit Abrol, who was last seen on "Swaragini," will soon tie the knot. The couple has been dating for more than five years now. In fact, Mansi and Mohit were in a relationship even before they entered the glamour world.
"We are from Delhi and were flying with the same airways. We first met on a flight for Milan. It was love at first sight and we have been dating for five years now. Our families opposed the decision as they wanted us to settle down in our respective careers first. Now that we have made it, they want us to tie the knot," Mansi told the Times of India when asked about how they met each other.
Talking about what she likes about the "Swaragini" actor, Mansi said: "He is a passionate person. He is caring and I feel protected around him. His presence is empowering," she said. Interestingly, Mohit pursued a career in acting because of Mansi. "I quit my job first and pursued theatre. I encouraged him to take up acting as he is really good looking. I made him realise that he could do it," Mansi added.
Meanwhile, Mansi's co-star and "Sasural Simar Ka" lead actor Dheeraj Dhoopar aka Prem, will also tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend Vinny Arora of "Udann" fame in November this year. The lovebirds are planning to have a Punjabi wedding in Delhi. The couple also plans to host a grand reception for their friends from the TV industry in Mumbai soon after the wedding.
Another real-life TV couple, Siddhant Karnick of "Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani" fame and "Dream Girl" actress Megha Gupta, got engaged on May 11 in a private affair. The couple is apparently planning to get married in December 2016 or early next year.
