AIADMK leader VK Sasikala has not been granted parole and will continue to be in jail, sources have confirmed, after initial reports claimed that she had been granted 30-day parole to attend her nephew's wedding.
According to initial reports Sasikala, who was jailed in February in a disproportionate assets case, was reportedly granted 30 days' parole and was supposed to walk out of Parappana Agrahara central prison in Bangalore on Monday afternoon (June 5).

Local media reports claimed Sasikala had been granted parole to attend her nephew Jai Anand's wedding. Jai Anand is the son of Sasikala's brother Dhivakaran.
Interestingly, sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran, who was released on bail after he was charged with bribing an Election Commission official to get the party's two leaves symbol has reached Bengaluru to meet his aunt on Monday.
Dinakaran had said that he would be meeting Sasikala "not as a nephew, but as her deputy" to seek her advice before starting his duty of uniting the party.
