After Vijay, it is now the turn of his Sarkar distributor to do his bit for Gaja cyclone relief. The US distributor from the bilingual movie has decided to contribute his share from the premieres held a day before the film's release.

A and P Groups tweeted.
Sarkar had special premieres in 150 locations on 5 November in the YS. The crazy fans of Vijay paid double the amount to watch the movie a day before its theatrical release in India. The AR Murugadoss' film made a business of $335,836 (Rs 2.4 crore) on the opening day and the distributors' share will be at least 50 lakh.
It means that not just Vijay, but people who made money from his movie Sarkar is donating a big amount. The Sun Pictures-produced film, which has made big money at global box office, has earned $991,578 (Rs 7.08 cr) till Sunday (18 November).
Whereas at the worldwide box office, the Thalapathy-starrer, which has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead, has grossed over Rs 225 crore. The movie has earned Rs 153.3 crore from the Indian market alone.
Meanwhile, Vijay has donated over Rs 40 lakh through his fans club already.
Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Dindigul, Trichy, Thiruvarur, Theni Cuddalore, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Karur and Ramanathapuram districts in Tamil Nadu have been affected by cyclone Gaja. 46 people have lost their lives, above 251,000 people have been evacuated to over 500 relief camps and Rs 1,000 of crore worth crops and properties have been damaged.
