Sarkar 3 (Sarkaar 3) movie review: RGV's weak screenplay disappoints Amitabh Bachchan's fans

Director Ram Gopal Varma's Bollywood movie Sarkar 3 (Sarkaar 3) starring Amitabh Bachchan, has garnered mixed reviews from the audience, who say that the film suffers from poor scripting work.

Sarkar 3 is a political crime thriller film and it is the third installment of the Sarkar film series. Ram Gopal Varma has written the screenplay, while Nilesh Girkar penned the story for the movie, which has been produced by Anand Pandit, Gopal Shivram Dalvi, Krishan Choudhary and WeOne.

Annu Karkare (Yami Gautam) thinks that "Sarkar" (Amitabh Bachchan) is responsible for the death of her father and conspires to avenge his death. Sarkar has his own personal battles with his grandson Shivaji Nagre (Amit Sadh). Parallely the political and corporate diaspora pose threats to Sarkar's dominance. How Sarkar deals with his adversaries forms the crux of the story.

The audiences say that Sarkar 3, which is about the resonance of nepotism, has poor scripting work. Unlike previous installments, this movie has more comedy than action and it lacks emotional quotient. But director Ram Gopal Varma manages to engage the film goers with the intense drama throughout the movie.

Other than Big B, Ram Gopal Varma has cast almost all new actors, who were not featured in other Sarkar films. Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Jackie Shroff, Amit Sadh, Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy, Parag Tyagi, Bharat Dabholkar, Rohini Hattangadi and Shiv Sharma have delivered good performances in the movie, say the viewers.

Sarkar 3 has good production values and Ravi Shankar's background score, Amol Rathod's picturisation and Anwar Ali's editing are the attractions on the technical front, add the film goers.
