Producer Sharrath Marar says the sequence featuring horse mela (fair) is going to be one of the highlights of Power Star Pawan Kalyan's upcoming movie "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" (Gabbar Singh 2).
In January, the film unit reportedly canned the horse mela sequence at a village set created in Hyderabad. The set reportedly featured an elaborate railway track, a market and houses. The makers of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" had reportedly shelled out Rs 4.5 crore for this set.
"The Horse Mela sequence which includes 100 horses, horsemen, various company artists, junior artists and a huge crew supporting 3 units worked simultaneously, all added up to almost a 1000 member team on location. Almost all the 40 artists from the film were present along with 100 horses, 10 Vintage cars and many luxury cars, (sic)" Marar says in statement released to the media.
The film unit has shot a few portions at Athirappilly Falls in Kerala in February 2016. Upon its completion, the team returned to Hyderabad and continued the shooting there in the middle of the month. The team has reportedly wrapped up 90 percent of the talkie portions of the movie.
"Sardaar Gabbar Singh" is currently in the last leg of shooting. The producers have planned to launch its audio in March and release the movie across globe April 8. "The audio launch of the film is being planned in mid March and this high budget film is slated for an April 8 release, (sic)" the producer added.
Pawan Kalyan is producing "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" jointly with his friend Sharrath Marar and Sunil Lulla under the banners Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, Northstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Eros International. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the film, while Arthur Wilson and Andrew are handling its camera work. The film is being directed by KS Ravindra (Bobby).
