Stylish Star Allu Arjun has reportedly reshot some action scenes of director Boyapati Srinu's "Sarainodu" (also spelled as Sarrainodu) to get it awarded a "U/A" certificate by the censor board.
The makers of "Sarainodu" completed its production works well in advance and screened its first copy to the officials of the regional censor board in the first week of April. The censors were happy with the final outcome, but some high voltage action scenes forced them to give an "A" certificate to the film.
The producer wanted to get a "U/A" certificate for "Sarainodu," as they did not want to lose out on the family audience. But the officials of the censor board reportedly agreed to give it, if they edit the action scenes of the movie. Hence, Allu Arjun and Boyapati Srinu accepted their direction and re-worked on the objected-fight sequences.
"Lead actor Allu Arjun and director Boyapati Srinu discussed it and decided to re-shoot those scenes again with lesser intensity. If they would have only edited those scenes, the connectivity would have been lost. So they decided to reshoot," Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.
The censor board has awarded "U/A" certificate for "Sarainodu" and it has become first movie for Boyapati Srinu to get this certification. Andhra Box Office tweeted, "#Sarrainodu Censored with 'U/A' #SarrainoduOnApril22nd. After a Long Time, Boyapati Srinu's Flick got an 'U/A'. His last 3 films have been 'A' rated for excessive Violence."
"Sarainodu" is touted to be an action entertainer with other masala elements like romance, comedy and sentimental scenes. Besides direction, Boyapati Srinu has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the movie, which has been produced by Allu Aravind under his banner Geetha Arts.
Allu Arjun plays the lead role in "Sarainodu," while Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa appear in the female leads. Srikanth, Naresh, Aadhi, Jayaprakash, Adarsh Balakrishna, Devadarshini, Vinaya Prasad, Surekha Vani, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Pradeep Rawat will be seen essaying supporting roles. The movie has S Thaman's music and Rishi Punjabi's camera work and it is set to hit the screens on April 22.
