Popular television actress Sara Khan, who is currently seen on Ekta Kapoor's "Kawach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se" as Manjulika, will soon be seen on a Pakistani TV show titled "Ye Kaisi Mohabbat Hai." Sara will be the first Indian TV actress to make her mark in the Pakistani TV industry.
Sara will star alongside popular Pakistani actor Noor Hassan, who had worked on "Humsafar" with Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. The show will be produced by top Pakistani producer Sana Shahnawaz and will be directed by Aabid Raza. "Ye Kaisi Mohabbat Hai" will air on ARY Digital, a popular Pakistani channel.
Sara will be leaving for Pakistan to film the show soon after wrapping up "Kawach" in August. The shoot of "Ye Kaisi Mohabbat Hai" is expected to take a month.
"Whatever role I have done be it a Naagin in 'Sasuraal Simar Ka' and now a Daayan in 'Kavach,' I have done with conviction. It is an honour to do my first Pakistani drama series. In Pakistan, serials and films do not have a demarcation like in India. In fact, Pakistani drama industry is biggest there. So, I am super excited," Sara told Bollywood Life.
A few Pakistani actors like Fawad and Mahira have made their mark in Bollywood. Sara's entry into the Pakistani TV industry will surely excite her fans, who would hope to see her making it big in the neighbouring country as well. Sara had earlier acted in a Pakistani telefilm, "Tujhse Hi Raabta" alongside Yasir Shah, but "Ye Kaisi Mohabbat Hai" is the actress' first mainstream daily soap.
Sara had entered "Kawach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se" when the show's antagonist, Mahek Chahal, had to quit owing to a knee injury.
