Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aayan have been hitting headlines for their new friendship ever since the debutante spoke about having a crush on the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor. And now the two are once again in news but this time for their professional venture together.
According to Filmfare, Sara and Kartik have been finalised for the sequel of 2009 romantic comedy Love Aaj Kal tentively titled Love Aaj Kal 2 which will be directed by Imtiaz Ali.
The Love Aaj Kal prequel saw Sara's father Saif Ali Khan in the lead role alongside Deepika Padukone. It will be interesting to see if daddy Saif will share screen with daughter Sara in the film considering the prequel had Saif also featuring in a flashback while telling an old fashioned love story.
It also remains to be seen how Sara and Kartik will manage to strike a chord with their romantic chemistry. The two will be paired for the first time on screen.
A couple of days earlier, we saw how Ranveer played cupid to the two young stars knowing how sara admires Kartik and had wished to date him.
After tasting success with Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Simmba which also stars Ranveer Singh in the lead. The movie, which is directed by Rohit Shetty, is scheduled to release on December 28 and it is expected to take flying start at the box office.
