Popular actress Ratan Rajput, who plays the role of Santoshi on "Santoshi Maa," will make an exit from the daily soap soon. According to reports, Ratan's track will end with Santoshi's death in the upcoming episodes.
The buzz is that after Santoshi's exit, "Santoshi Maa" will witness a major twist in the storyline. Talking about her role coming to an end, Ratan told Indo-Asian News Service (IANS): "Every character has its own time span in a story and mine may come to an end. It's sad if I have to leave such a wonderful show."
Although Ratan is upset about leaving the show, she is hopeful that her character comes back to life. "My character is certainly dying. But if she comes back to life, that remains to be seen," she added.
"Santoshi Maa" also features Gracy Singh (Santoshi Mata), Upasana Singh (Madhu), Sayantani Ghosh (Poulomi) and Ayaz Ahmed (Dhairya) in key roles. The show is currently revolving around Dhairya falling in love with Santoshi.
Besides Ratan, several other actors have also taken the exit route from popular shows in the past few months. Last week, Karan Mehra, who played the role of Naitik Singhania on "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," disappointed millions of fans when he announced his exit from the show. Karan apparently quit the daily soap due to serious health issues.
"Santoshi Maa" actress Upasana, who was also a part of "Comedy Nights Live," recently made headlines when she quit the comedy show. Since then, the actress has made some shocking revelations regarding her dissatisfaction with the makers of the show.
Shikha Singh, who plays the role of Aaliya Mehra "Kumkum Bhagya," is rumoured to be quitting the show apparently because she is not happy with the way her character was shaping up. The actress, however, refuted the reports claiming that she is very much part of the show.
