It's the best time of the year for everyone. As the decorations light up the streets and people get into the holiday spirits, we all can feel the Christmas love is in the air. Kids, especially, are eager for their annual review by Father Christmas, who gives them gifts depending on how well they've behaved throughout the year.
Like every year, Santa Claus will begin his voyage around the world on the Christmas Eve. Thanks to Google and NORAD, we all can keep close tabs on Santa's expedition in real time. Google's Santa Tracker has been offering a fun, interactive way of doing more than just tracking Santa's journey for 12 years now.
Google lets you send a call to your friends from Santa, play Reindeer racing games on the Santa Village, educational games for kids and teachers and many more surprises underway. There is a calendar with new activities for each day of December until December 24, when Santa's official journey kicks off.
"From sliding penguins to dancing elves, the residents of the North Pole are having the time of their lives, and now you can join in the merriment," Google said.
Santa Tracker is available on the web and Android, integrated within Google Maps. If you are an iPhone user, you can access Google Santa Tracker from mobile browsers only.
NORAD Santa tracker is available for the kids' entertainment by the joint U.S.-Canada command that shows Santa's current location. North American Aerospace Defense Command volunteers will also attend phone calls and reply to emails from children as well as post regular updates on Santa's journey.
NORAD tracker is also available as mobile apps for kids to track his journey using Apple, Android and Windows Phone smartphones. To get an update directly from NORAD, kids can call 877-HI-NORAD or email at noradtrackssanta@outlook.com once the mythical journey starts at 4 a.m. MST on Christmas Eve.
