TV actor Sanjit Bedi, who rose to fame with his on-screen character of Dr.Omi on popular TV show "Sanjeevani", passed away on Tuesday.
Sanjit was said to be suffering from brain virus for a long time and was in coma, reported DNA.
Besides, "Sanjeevani", Sanjit also played important roles in shows like "Kasauti Zindagii Kay", "Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka", "Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasman" and "Jaane Kya Baat Hui" among others.
Sanjit's funeral was held at Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines, Mumbai at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The young actor is survived by his wife.
The news has come as a shock to his family, friends and colleagues. Some of them posted their condolences on social networking sites.
