Sanjay Dutt is all set to step into the shoes of veteran actor Pran with his new role as Sher Khan in the remake of "Zanjeer."
After a bald look in "Agneepath," Sanjay is back with new stylish look in the remake of the film. The actor will be seen in short hair and beard as Sher Khan role in the film. He will be seen wearing kohl-rimmed eyes in the upcoming action film.
According to reports, Sanjay's new look has been designed by none other than director Apoorva Lakhia himself. The director asked a well-known designer to design costumes for the actor and also roped in popular hairstylist Aalim for the actor's hair, Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying.
The movie is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia of "Shootout At Lokhandwala" fame and produced by Amit Mehra, son of late filmmaker Prakash Mehra who had directed and produced the original "Zanjeer."
The movie stars South actor Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
Ram Charan will play the character of Inspector Vijay, originally played by Amitabh Bachchan, while Priyanka will step into Jaya Bachchan's role in the remake. The movie is scheduled for release next year on April 12.
The original "Zanjeer," starring Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in the lead roles, was released in 1973.
