Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is set to appear in Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt. Earlier, the movie was scheduled to release along with Tiger Zinda Hai, starring his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, in December this year.
The recent update is that the Ranbir's flick will now be released on March 30, 2018. Did Ranbir chicken out because of Salman Khan or didn't want to compete with ex-flame Katrina?
Salman and Ranbir have a history – thanks to Katrina. The Baar Baar Dekho actress used to date Salman, but then Ranbir's entry made the happy couple part ways. After dating for a long time, Ranbir and Katrina broke up last year. So, now Katrina and Salman are "good friends" and Ranbir tries to maintain as much distance as he can from the two.
However, Ranbir will be seen with Katrina in Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos in July. Quite twisted stories these stars have – isn't it?

On the other hand, it's a good thing for Ranbir's movie not to clash with Salman's big budget flick. A source told Deccan Chronicle: "This biopic is one of the most awaited films in recent times. We have to release it at a time when it can garner maximum eyeballs. We know Salman has a huge fan following, so it only made business sense to avoid the on-screen clash."
Sanjay Dutt's biopic is yet to be titled. Directed by Hirani, the film also stars Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. On the other hand, Salman's Tiger Zinda Hai created hype as he and Katrina are making a comeback after a long time. They were last seen together in the first instalment, Ek Tha Tiger, in 2012.
