The recently launched Samsung REX smartphone series has finally made its way to Indian e-stores.

The Rex 60 and Rex 80 smartphones are now available for ₹3,699 and ₹4,940, respectively, through one of the country's leading online retailers, Flipkart

Rex 60 sports a 2.79-inch QVGA TFT display and runs on Samsung's TouchWiz interface powered by a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The other budget device, Rex 80, sports a slightly bigger 3-inch QVGA capacitive display and the same TouchWiz interface powered by the 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Both the budget touch-screen handsets have all standard features such as camera, Bluetooth and memory space. Though the new Rex series is expected to widen Samsung's user base, it remains to be seen whether the handsets will make a dent in the sales of Nokia's low-cost Asha handset series.
