As reported last month, Samsung is all set to launch the new budget smartphone Galaxy J1 in India this week.
The company's official e-commerce site Amazon India (via Twitter) on Tuesday confirmed that the new Samsung Galaxy J1 will be released on Wednesday for ₹7,190 with few gift vouchers.
Galaxy J1 was globally unveiled last month in Malaysia and it is now all set to hit stores in India.
Samsung's new budget smartphone sports a 4.3-inch WVGA TFT LCD screen and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS powered by a dual-core SoC (System on Chip), 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory and an 1850 mAh battery.
Competition:
Considering its sub-par specifications, Samsung Galaxy J1 will have a tough time competing with the newly released Microsoft Lumia 435, Motorola Moto E (Gen 1), Asus Zenfone 4, (& 5 series), Lenovo A6000 and other domestic brands in the market.
