Smartphone leader Samsung has launched new flip phone called W2014 at trade fair event 'Heart of the World', jointly hosted by China Telecom at Nanjing (China).

Samsung W2014 sports 3.7-inch dual-screen with a Super AMOLED display panel and runs on the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the box.

It packs a Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor which can top a maximum CPU speed close to 2.3 GHz. The chipset also boasts of Adreno 330 graphics engine supported by 2GB RAM and 32GB storage with expandable options (up to 64GB). [to view the new Samsung W2014, click here]

As of now, there is no official word on the price and release date of the new flip-phone. Rumour has it that the device may be launched initially in China and South Korea.

So far, Samsung has released two flip-phones - SCH-W789 (Hennessy) and Galaxy Golden, in select Asian markets. The 3.3-inch Hennessy boasts of a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5.0-megapixel main camera and 1500 mAh battery. The 3.7-inch Galaxy Golden features Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by dual-core processor with 1.7GHz CPU speed. Both devices have twin displays.

Last week (on 28 October), Samsung launched the flagship Galaxy Golden for whopping ₹51,900 in India.
