After weeks of speculations, Samsung today finally pulled the wraps off the Galaxy Grand 2, successor to the company's popular mid-range smartphone Galaxy Grand.
In the Galaxy Grand second iteration, Samsung has liberally used Galaxy Note 3's design principle of faux leather on the back and has bumped its size as well as internal components.
"This evolution of the Galaxy Grand series brings meaningful upgrades to its predecessor including an improved HD viewing experience, enhanced performance, and many other intuitive features," said the company.
Galaxy Grand 2 sports a bigger 5.25-inch HD TFT display with 1280x 720p resolutions and runs on the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS powered by a1.2GHz quad-core processor aptly backed by 1.5GB RAM, 8GB in built storage with options of expansion up to 64GB via microSD card.
The mid-range device also boasts of 8.0-megapixel main camera with LED flash and auto-focus, 1.9 megapixel HD front-facing camera with smart camera features Best Face, Best Photo, Continuous Shot, Story Album, Sound & Shot, S Translator , S Travel and more.
Galaxy Grand 2 will be available in Black, Pink and White in select markets, however, the details regarding its price and release date is still under the wraps.
