Samsung Electronics Corp, world's leading smartphone maker, is reportedly planning to launch the successor to its flagship smartphone Galaxy S3 in mid-April.
Technology website SamMobile claimed that the much-awaited Galaxy S4, which is being developed under the codename "Altius (J)", is expected to hit stores by April 15. The website further said that Samsung will host its very own event to unveil the smarphone in London, New York or South Korea sometime in March.
SamMobile also revealed that new flagship device will come packed with a 2600 mAh battery, which has a bigger capacity compared to Galaxy S3's 2100 mAh battery, It was also reported that Samsung will begin sales of its wireless charging dock and removable back cover with wireless charging capabilities, separately, few weeks after the Galaxy S4 launch.

Galaxy S4's predecessor Galaxy S3 made more than 40 million sales within eight months of its launch. Samsung's sales figures overtook Apple's iPhone market share, leading it to become the world leader in smartphone market at the end of 2012.
Galaxy S3's successor has garnered huge hype around its speculated debut, but along with the rising popularity Samsung is betting big on Galaxy S4 to uphold its reputation and outdo rivals .
