New reports have emerged that Samsung is planning to release its flagship Galaxy S4 in 30 countries simultaneously on 26 April, not just three countries as reported earlier.
A Korean media house has claimed that Galaxy S4 sales will begin in the 30 countries with pre-orders in South Korea set to open on 19 April. But the website failed to specify the countries which would receive the coveted smartphone.
Other technology blogs have opined that India might figure in the list as the new speculation comes close on the heels of an earlier report, which claimed that Samsung India would launch Galaxy S4 on 25 April and the device would hit stores by 27 April with a price tag of less than ₹40,000.
As of now, Samsung India is yet to respond to the report regarding the Galaxy S4 launch in India.
Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5.0-Super AMOLED display with an impressive pixel density of 441 pixels per inch and it runs on the latest Android mobile OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
The flagship smartphone comes in two variants - one with Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa-core processor and the other with Qualcomm based quad-core processor.
However, there is still no information about which Galaxy S4 variant would come to India. As of now, only US and UK markets are confirmed to get Galaxy S4 with 1.9GHz quad-core processor.
Other striking features of Samsung's flagship smartphone are its cameras. Galaxy S4 sports an impressive 13.0-megapixel rear camera and a 2.0-megapixel camera on the front.
The 2.0-megapixel front camera tracks user's facial movements to scroll through an email text or browse the internet. And if the user turns away while watching a video, THE smartphone automatically pauses the video and resumes only when the user reverts back to the screen.
