Smartphone maker Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a dual-core flip-phone in India soon.
The revelation comes just few weeks after Samsung community website SamMobile reported that the South Korean firm was contemplating to release the foldable handset in the coutry this month. However, the website did not delve much information whether the model was the dual-core based Galaxy Golden or the quad-core based Galaxy Hennessy .
Now, technology blog AndroidOS.in has claimed that Samsung will indeed launch the dual-core based Galaxy Golden smartphone in India and the company has already imported some considerable amount of units to the subcontinent.
Samsung is yet to respond the report, but considering that the Diwali festival is just around corner, it won't come as a surprise if the company decides to launch a new product in the coming week. There are unconfirmed reports circulating that Galaxy Golden may be priced anywhere between ₹45,000 and ₹50,000.
Galaxy Golden made its global debut in Samsung's home market South Korea, in August this year. The smartphone boasts of 3.7-inch Super AMOLED WVGA (480x800p) dual touch-screens and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.
Under-the-hood, it houses a 1820 mAh battery, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 16GB inbuilt memory, 8.0-megapixel main camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
