With just two weeks left for the official launch of Galaxy S7 series, key features of the devices have started to flood the internet. A new report has surfaced online claiming that Samsung may bring back a key feature of Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S7.
Import data of Samsung Galaxy S7 series components obtained by Twitter user Roland Quandt (@rquandt) has revealed that the upcoming Samsung flagship smartphone will boast water-proof body feature, which was last seen in Galaxy S5 in 2014.
In 2015, Samsung, in its bid to make Galaxy S6 look totally premium, went with full-metal body and had to let go of water-proof feature. Now, it looks like the company will bring back the liquid resistant feature in the 2016 model.
India-based logistic company Zauba.com's manifest shows Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) and S7 Edge (SM-G935F) components imported from South Korea to New Delhi (for assembling in India) on 29 January and 6 February, respectively. It also shows water-proof certification.
This move by Samsung will be welcomed by the fans. Despite Galaxy S6 series boasting true premium looks, many patrons were peeved at the exclusion of water-proof feature. At the same time, the absence of microSD card slot and removable battery had made many fans unhappy.
It is believed that Samsung will provide memory expansion option and incorporate bigger battery in Galaxy S7. But, we are not sure whether the cell can be removable or not.
