Samsung Launches Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Mega 5.8 Phablets for ₹31,490 and ₹25,100

Samsung India on Tuesday (28 May) officially launched two big screen Mega series smartphones - Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Mega 5.8.

According to reports, Galaxy Mega 5.8 will hit the stores by the end of this week for ₹25,100 while Galaxy Mega 6.3 would be made available a little later during the second week of June for ₹31,490.

As the name suggest, Galaxy Mega smartphone sports a 5.8-inch qHD TFT screen with 540x960p display resolution and runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. It packs 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 64GB.

On the other hand, Galaxy Mega 6.3 sports more superior specifications compared to its smaller sibling. It houses Super Clear LCD screen with HD 720x1280p resolution and runs on a faster 1.7GHz dual-core processor. The device comes with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal memory along with microSD which enables the user to expand memory upto 64GB.

Samsung has joined hands with network carriers Reliance Communications and Vodafone to offer free limited data plans as incentives for buyers. RCOM subscribers will get 2GB data per month free for the first three months, whereas Vodafone customers will get free 2GB data per month for two months.

Both smartphones will also have smart features such as S translator, ChatOn, AirView, split screen capability and many more fascinating features. The devices were earlier launched by Samsung in Seoul, South Korea, on 11 April.
