South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung launched two mid-range metal-clad smartphones -- Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime -- in India on 19 September.
Between the two, the Galaxy J7 Prime is the top-end model. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) super AMOLED display with fingerprint sensor on the home button and comes packed with 1.6GHz Exynos octa-core CPU backed by sumptuous 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 3,300mAh battery.
It also boasts a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9aperture, LED flash and an 8MP snapper with f/1.9 aperture.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J5 Prime sports smaller 5.0-inch HD screen and houses quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP primary camera, 5MP shooter on the front and a 2,400mAh battery.
Both the models come with Samsung exclusive features -- S Power Planning and S Secure.
For the uninitiated, the S Power Planning feature helps users save phone's battery life with three options – reserve battery for calls, extended battery time and forward calls when no battery.
Whereas, the S Secure mode is folder locking feature, where users can lock and hide apps in the smartphone and it also secures Wi-Fi network connection from getting hacked.
"At Samsung, we are committed to continued innovation, inspired by the deep understanding and insights from our wide range of consumers. The Galaxy J7 Prime and the Galaxy J5 Prime come with the latest 'Make for India' innovations, 'S Power Planning' and 'S Secure' for smart power management and increased privacy & security on your smartphones respectively.
