Samsung launched its latest flagship smartphones Galaxy S6 a week ago at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Changing it inside out in terms of specifications and features the company launched a curved screen feature for Galaxy Edge 6 too. While both the devices pack the latest available hardware stuffs inside a really impressive body, both of them lack the water resistant certification and a gigantic battery.
However, according to a report published in Sammobile, Samsung is working on a new smartphone which will feature both these, making it a knockout champion. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S6 Active model number SM-G890A, the device will sport a bigger dimension display and a gigantic battery inside.
Unlike Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Active will probably sport a bigger 5.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with the same resolution. Galaxy S6 Active will also pack a 3500 mAh battery instead and come up with IP67 certification which means the device can have the capacity to resist dusts, dirt, scratches, water and more.
The new Galaxy S6 Active will also be a thicker and bigger in comparison to the other two variants of Galaxy S6. As opposed to the 70.5x143.4x6.8mm of Galaxy S6, the new Galaxy S6 Active will measure 73.6x146.9x8.8mm. There is no update about the device weight yet.
Beside these significant changes, the Galaxy S6 Active will feature the same Octa-Core Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB of in-built storage and 16MP rear, 5MP front cameras. The phone will probably be launched with AT&T network first and the unlocked version will be rolled out later.
