The rumored Samsung AMOLED screen based high-end slate Galaxy TabPRO is reportedly making its debut in few months time.
Earlier last week, Samsung's community website, SamMobile citing sources claimed that the South Korean company was working on a AMOLED based TabPRO device, but was unsure of the size. Now, Hungarian arm of Samsung in a reply to fan's query about the release of TabPRO 8.4 LTE on Facebook, has inadvertently revealed that the slate TabPRO with AMOLED based slate will be launched in few months time, probably around June, [To see the screenshot of conversation, click here; courtesy Tech 2]
The main USP of the rumored Samsung tablet is that it boasts high-resolution 2K (2560x1440p) display. It will ship with the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS with the usual custom TouchWiz UI (having Magazine UX) and house the company's in-house built Exynos 5 series CPU backed by efficient battery, with new Ultra Power Saving Mode seen in the newly unveiled Galaxy S5.
Apart from TabPRO device, Samsung is also working on mid-range Tab 4 series slates. Last month, they reportedly passed the American government owned FCC (Federal Communication Commission) certification and were expected to get launched in MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2014, but that never happened. If history is any guide, these tablets will get launched soon as any device gets certified by FCC, they are bound to get released within few weeks time.
Samsung Tab 4 series devices come in 7.0-inch, 8.0-inch and 10.1-inch sizes and pack almost similar hardware sans a few components like battery, which depends on the size of device.[To view the expected specifications of tablets, click here]
