Barely a week after the launch of Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 phablet in India, the South Korean tech giant company has released a budget handset Galaxy Trend in the market via online stores.
Galaxy Trend has been listed on the company's official eStore with price-tag of ₹8,700. Private online shops like Flipkart and Snapdeal are selling the handset with a discount for ₹8,490.
The new budget Galaxy smartphone sports a 4.0-inch WVGA TFT screen with 480x800p resolutions and runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS with TouchWiz v4.0 UI.
Under the hood, Galaxy Trend boasts of a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory. The only downside is that it lacks a front-facing camera and ships with a 3.0-megapixel snapper with no LED flash support. In comparison, local players like Micromax, Karbonn and others offer dual-cameras in the same price range as that of Galaxy Trend.
