Samsung Electronics is slowly rolling out Android Lollipop update to its devices after disappointing many of its fans by not making Google's new firmware to its flagship devices despite other smartphones running it for months. Now, the company has started rolling out Android 5.0.2 Lollipop Over-the-air (OTA) update to its LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 in some European countries.
It is confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE version has started receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OTA update in Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia and Switzerland, according to SamMobile (via You Mobile). The firmware with build number T805XXU1BOCC and build date 17, March 2015, is 1.7GB in size.
The new software update came after the Wi-Fi only variant of Galaxy Tab S 10.5 received the much-awaited firmware last week.
Users of the device should ideally get software update notification if Android 5.0.2 Lollipop is being rolled out in their region. Download begins once users tap 'I'm in' option and then select 'Install Now.' The device will restart automatically once installation is done and the software will start running.
One can also manually check the availability of new software by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check For Update.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 users who want to get their hands on Lollipop can download it from source link given provided in SamMobile and install manually.
