Recently, the press shot of the same tablet had also been leaked online featuring a gold and brown combination. It seems that Samsung wants to release the Galaxy Tab 3 in a wide-range of colours.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 sports an 8-inch display with 800X1280 pixel resolution powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system along with Samsung's customized TouchWiz UI.
The tablet is available in two storage variants - 32GB and 64GB, and also has support for expandable storage upto 64GB using microSD card. It also features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.
In terms of connectivity, it comes with LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and packs a 4450 mAh battery.
Along with the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3, Samsung also announced a 10.1-inch variant. The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 shares similar specifications including connectivity, memory and same screen resolution.
The only difference is the faster processor; it comes with Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor at 1.6GHz clock speed paired with lower 1GB of RAM, but supported by a bigger 6,800mAh battery. In comparison, the bigger tablet comes with a lower resolution 3-megapixel camera on the back.
It is also rumored that Samsung is planning to introduce a large 12.2-inch screen tablet with a resolution of 1600X2560 pixels.
A report by a Korean website claimed that the display for Samsung's rumored 12.2-inch tablet will be supplied by Sharp and will be equipped with IGZO (Indum-Gallium Zinc Oxide) technology.
