Samsung is secretive about its upcoming devices, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, but much has been leaked over the last few years — from specifications to release date, and now its price.
The South Korean electronics giant is expected to announce its much-anticipated devices, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, on Feb. 21, a day before Mobile World Congress 2016 (MWC 2016) begins.
According to a report by Tweakers (via SamMobile), the Galaxy S7 will be priced at €700 (around $788 / Rs 53,683) and the Galaxy S7 edge will come with a price tag of €800 (around $900 / Rs 61,352). The prices are only for the Exynos 8890 variant and not the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 version.

Leakster Evan Blass â€@evleaks has claimed the devices will be released in the US and Europe on 11 March, but it is not confirmed yet. A report by AndroidWorld (via SamMobile) has claimed the devices will be up for preorder in the Netherlands on the day of announcement. It went on to claim those who preorder one of the devices between Feb. 21 and March 10 and signs up on the company's website will get a free Gear VR.

Reports have it that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will come in two variants, one that is powered by the Exynos 8890 processor and the other by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 depending on region. The former is expected to have a 5.1-inch QHD display with 2,560x1,440 pixel resolution and a 3,000mAh battery, while the other may come with a 5.5-inch screen and a 3,500mAh battery.
Both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are expected to run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, come packed with 64GB inbuilt memory and 4GB RAM, and house a 12MP main camera and a 5MP front-snapper. There are also reports that the handsets will have a microSD card slot, but only 32GB storage option.
