Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6 is expected to be thinner than its predecessor. It is said to be just 6.9mm thick, which is much slimmer than the Galaxy S5.
The dimension of Galaxy S6, which comes with a metal frame, measures 143.3 x 70.8 x 6.9mm and will be IP67-certified, according to a report by GSM Arena, which received case designs of the device by Case maker OBLIQ. The case comes with cutouts for camera, LED flash, heart rate monitor, and antennas.
The next-generations smartphone measures 6.9mm thick and will measure 9.5mm with the cases on. On the other hand, the Galaxy S5 comes with a dimension of 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm (5.59 x 2.85 x 0.32 in).
The Galaxy S6 is scheduled to be unveiled along with unveil the Galaxy S Edge at Samsung's "Unpacked 2015" event on 1 March, at the Mobile World Conference 2015 (MWC 2015) in Barcelona.
Under the hoods, the Galaxy S6 is expected to have features like 5.5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixels, Exynos 7420 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 20MP main camera and 5MP front snapper, and 32GB of internal memory and 3GB RAM, according to AnTuTu benchmark as reported in Chinese website CNMO (via Phone Arena).
According to a report by Android Pit, the 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S6 will be priced at €749 ($849 / ₹52398 approximately); Galaxy S6 64 GB: €849 ($962 / ₹59394 approximately); and Galaxy S6 128 GB: €949 ($1075 / ₹66390 approximately). Phone Arena (via DDaily.co.kr) also reported that it will come with new features like mobile payment system and fingerprint scanner.
