All eyes are on Samsung Electronics' upcoming smartphone dubbed as Galaxy S6 following the disappointing business of its predecessor Galaxy S5. The company hasn't revealed the release date of the device but it is expected not to disappoint the public again by launching a flagship device with a little change.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S6 in the first quarter of 2015, either in February or March, before launching it a few weeks later. There were also speculations that it would be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event from 2 to 5 March, 2015, but it is not confirmed yet.
Expected Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S6:
Display: The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 quad HD screen (554ppi). The company had earlier said that a 3840x2160 display resolution could become a reality in 2015, so it won't come as a surprise if the upcoming smartphone boasts of this screen resolution.
Design: The South Korean electronics giant received lots of flak for the designs of its flagship devices that came after the Galaxy SIII. So, the company is expected to give a new look, possibly a curved display, to its upcoming smartphone.
Processor and Operating System: The device could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Exynos 7420 processor and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Storage: According to a report by Value Walk, the Galaxy S6 might be available in 32/64/128GB internal memory.
Camera: The Galaxy S5 houses a 16MP camera, so it's natural for gadget lovers to expect more. Reports have claimed that Samsung Galaxy S6 might boast of 20MP camera though it's not confirmed yet.
Samsung Galaxy S6's Expected Price:
The South Korean electronics giant hasn't revealed anything about its upcoming device, forget about its price, but Value Walk's report has suggested that it could be priced around $720.
