The 2015 Mobile World Congress is upon us, with everyone from Samsung to Ford keen to show off their latest cutting-edge products.
Picking through all the major announcements from the worlds biggest mobile fair, weve selected the biggest and the best revelations to come out of Barcelona.
1. Samsung Galaxy S6
Like Apple last year, Samsung has unveiled not one but two versions of its flagship smartphone with the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Samsung is looking to set itself apart from the competition and make up lost ground on Apple through a curved screen and innovative battery technology that enables wireless and fast charging.
Both phones also buck the trend of previous Samsung flagships by replacing the plastic frame with a metal one to give the phone a more premium feel.
This seems to have come at the expense of a removeable battery, waterproof capabilities and a microSD card slot.
2. HTC One M9
In the battle of the smartphone flagship HTC also threw its hat into the ring with the HTC One M9.
More interestingly perhaps was the Taiwanese firms first foray into wearables with the smart band Grip.
Resembling the Nike Fuelband, the HTC Grip is a rugged device aimed squarely at the fitness market and is done in partnership with US sportswear supplier Under Armour.
The touchscreen OLED display allows users to track their steps, calories and sleep while even telling the time.
3. Huawei Watch
Another fitness tracker launched in Barcelona came in the form of Huaweis TalkBand B2, an update of the TalkBand B1, which was shown off by CEO Richard Yu alongside the smart N1 headphones.
The Chinese companys biggest announcement, however, was its first smartwatch offering the Huawei Watch.
The Android Wear device is pitched as a premium wristwatch with a smart core, with a design described by Yu as timeless.
It also features a six-axis motion sensor, a barometer and an optical heart rate sensor that constantly tracks heart activity.
While its a stylish and functional smartwatch, we wont really know how good it is until we find out about battery life and pricing - neither of which Huawei is revealing.
4. eBikes
Moving away from phones and wearables, Ford had arguably the most interesting news of MWC with the unveiling of two prototype folding electric bikes.
The sensor-laden cycles feature electric pedal assistance for speeds of up to 25 km/h and handlebars with tactile feedback to tell riders which way to turn.
Two different designs, the MoDe:Me and the MoDe:Pro, offer two different solutions for urban transportation: commuters and couriers.
Speaking at the unveiling on Monday, chief operating officer for Ford Europe Barb Samardzich said the two bikes will take the worry out of journey planning and improve the quality of life in busy cities.
