Samsung's much awaited 2014 smartphone, Galaxy S5 is certain to debut later this month, but the speculation of the features of the flagship handset does not seem to cease. Yet another report has surfaced online disclosing almost all the details of Samsung's marquee phone.
A Dutch based technology blog has gotten hold of an alleged snap shot of the retail box of the yet-to-be-launched, Galaxy S5, revealing key specifications of Samsung's device. The leaked photo of the package shows that Galaxy S5 would flaunt a 5.25-inch Super AMOLED QHD (aka 2K) 2560x1440p resolution display, 2.5GHz quad-core processor (probably Snapdragon 805 series), 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 3000 mAh battery, 2.0-megapixel front camera and support LTE network connectivity.
Though most of the features displayed on the box are in line with previous rumors, there is some disparity with camera specifications. The listing on the box says Galaxy S5 will have a 20.0-megapixel camera with auto-focus and support full HD video recording, which contradicts the earlier reports of a 16.0-megapixel camera (with ISOCELL technology) capable of recording 4K resolution video. Even Galaxy Note 3 LTE variant (with snapdragon 800 series chipset), which features a 13.0-megapixel can record ultra-high definition video casting a shadow over the authenticity of the Dutch website report.
As of now, there is no definite way to confirm what Galaxy S5 might feature, and we just have to wait till 24 February to see what the brand has in store. Until then, we are certain to witness more rumors to keep excitement among the fans alive.
