Samsung Electronics has announced free Android App bundle worth $500 for owners of its new flagship smartphone Galaxy S5, which was announced a week ago and is set for release in 150 countries on 11 April.
The South Korean electronics giant, which launched Galaxy S5 on 24 February, has not officially revealed the price of the device yet but several websites have claimed that the device will be priced between €667.30 and €729 (around ₹56,900 and ₹62,100) across Europe.
Here is what several online vendors have to say on the price of the device: Clove (UK) - £550, Unlocked Mobiles - £549.98, Amazon Spain - €729, and Amazon Germany - €699.
Samsung has now announced 15 Android Apps worth $500 for Galaxy S5 buyers, more than a month before the device hits the stands.
"Meaningful rewards from the world's top brands to make your Galaxy S5 experience even more enjoyable and productive. From fitness to news to productivity apps, the Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with free, long-term subscriptions and premium services," announced Samsung.
The most valuable app is a free six-month subscription to Wall Street Journal worth $160, LinkedIn Premium account for three months worth $75, and free 50 GB for six months and $60 value. Other apps on offer are Run Keeper, Lark, Skimble, Map My Fitness, PayPal, EaslilyDo Pro, Blurb, Cut the Rope 2, Flick Dat, Bitcasa and Evernote*.
Samsung Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD (1920x1080p) resolution, having pixel density of 440ppi and is powered by 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 (32-bit architecture) series processor. It runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS and have a few value-added features like fingerprint sensor for secured unlocking of the screen and safe mobile payment, water and dust-resistant certifications, camera with fast autofocus speed up to 0.3 seconds, advanced High Dynamic Range (HDR), and fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 2X2 MIMO with Download Booster.
