Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Officially Launched in India; Price, Specification Details

World smartphone leader, Samsung officially released the compact flagship handset Galaxy S5 Mini in India on Wednesday.

The company has joined hands with popular e-retailer Flipkart to sell Galaxy S5 Mini online for ₹26,499.

The new Galaxy S5 Mini made its debut in early July and flaunts the same design language seen on the bigger sibling sans the size. It also sports the soft perforated faux-leather shell to provide better grip for users over the smartphone.

It even boasts of value-added features like IP67 dust-and-water resistant certifications, finger-print sensor, IR Remote, Ultra Power Saving Mode and heart-rate sensor technology.

Galaxy S5 Mini features a 4.5-inch HD (720x1280p) super AMOLED screen and comes packed with 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB (expandable up to 64GB) and a 2,100 mAh battery.

Other stipulated specifications include 8.0-megapixel camera (auto-focus & LED flash), 2.1-megapixel camera (with full HD video recording ability) and on the connectivity front, it supports 3G network, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), USB v2.0 and A-GPS+GLONASS for navigation.

Competition:

Galaxy S5 Mini will be up competing with Motorola Moto X, Oppo N1 Mini, Gionee Elife 7 Mini, Google Nexus 5 and others, which all fall under the sub-₹30,000 price category.
