The price of tech giant Samsung's latest smartphone Galaxy S5 has been slashed by multiple online retailers in India, in a move to lure more buyers .
The Galaxy S5, which made its India debut earlier this month, is officially priced at ₹51,500. Now online retailers Flipkart and Snapdeal have listed the smartphone at a discounted price of ₹46881 and ₹46882 respectively. While Flipkart offers two colour variants (Shimmery White -₹46881and Black-₹50499) of Galaxy S5, Snapdeal sells three colours(Shimmery White-₹46,882, Black- ₹51,048 and Electric Blue-₹51,099). However, the phone is still retailed with a price tag of ₹51,500 at Samsung India e-store.
Samsung Galaxy S5 sports 5.1-inch full HD (1920x1080p) super AMOLED screen with pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI.
In India, Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) is powered by Adinos Prime 2 processor (1.9GHz quad-cores + 1.3GHz quad-cores+ XMM6360) and supports only 3G network. The smartphone features finger-print sensor (on home button), water-and-dust resistant body (IP67 certifications), heart-rate monitor (below camera module), download boaster, fifth generation Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac HT80, MIMO (2x2)) and a 2800 mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode.
