Smartphone leader, Samsung is reportedly planning to release the 4G-LTE variant of the flagship handset Galaxy S5 in India.
Before the company could officially announce the arrival of the Galaxy S5 4G-LTE variant in India, a Mumbai based smartphone vendor, Mahesh Telecom has revealed the price of the device.
He has tweeted that shipments of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 4G-LTE (G900I) units are slated to arrive in a few days time and would be priced ₹1500 more than the 3G model (G900H), i.e., ₹56,000 [MRP].

For the uninitiated, Samsung Galaxy S5 4G-LTE model houses the 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series quad-core CPU, whereas the 3G model comes packed with the company's in-house built Adinos Prime 2 processor (1.9GHz quad-cores + 1.3GHz quad-cores+ XMM6360 modem), besides this, all other features are said to be similar.
Samsung Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch full HD (1920x1080p) super AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch) and run on the Android's latest v4.4.2 KitKat OS with new TouchWiz UI, backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB).
Value-added features include finger-print sensor based on biometric technology for secured phone unlocking, Ultra Power Saving Mode for longer battery life, water-proof-and-dust-resistant IP67 certification and 0.3-second auto-focus feature.
As of now, Apple iPhone 5S, 5C and LG G2 LTE are the only smartphones in the Indian market to support 4G network. HTC has confirmed (courtesy, Firstpost) that the new One M8 will also be enabled to support fast LTE network via firmware update slated on 15 August.
