In the countdown to the launch of Samsung's much awaited Galaxy SIV on 14 March, leaked reports of specs and other speculations of the next-generation smartphone have hit the internet at an accelerated pace.
Popular Samsung community website, SamMobile, has revealed a few more spec details of the upcoming Galaxy SIV. It was reported that the new Samsung smartphone will sport an AMOLED full HD display made from green PHOLED (Phosphorescent Organic Light Emitting Diodes) material.
The PHOLED material's green and yellow colours will make the smartphone screen use less power, meaning an additional 25 percent efficiency.
It was also revealed that Galaxy SIV may feature a 'floating touch technology' which uses finger movements as the cursor. Users are not required to even touch the screen and only need to hover over the application icon such as a photo album. The intuitive display will automatically give a sneak peak of pictures inside the album.
With the addition of the floating touch technology to other impressive features like Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Smart Stay and Smart Rotation in the next-generation Galaxy S device, many believe the word 'smartphone' will be once again be redefined with the release of Galaxy SIV.
A few days ago, leaked screen shots of Galaxy SIV reportedly featured Samsung's new TouchWiz interface Nature UX 2.0 with fully revamped Menu options against a white background. The pictures also revealed that Galaxy SIV may come packed with an advanced eye enabled text browsing software called Smart Scroll.
The new Galaxy SIV smartphone is also expected to sport a 13-megapixel camera and a 1.8GHz quad-core processor with LTE along with wireless charging capability.
SamMobile said that the US-bound Galaxy SIV may pack a quad-core processor, whereas the international variant will likely feature the 8-core Exynos Octa CPU, as previously speculated.
