Samsung's recently unveiled Galaxy On8 (2018) will finally be up for sale later this afternoon, Aug 6, in India.
The new Galaxy On8 (2018) will be exclusively available online only on Flipkart and Samsung India e-store for Rs Rs 16,990. As part of the promotional launch campaign, it is being offered with lucrative data packs for Reliance Jio subscribers along with EMI options.
The highlight of the Galaxy On8 is the photography hardware. It boasts of a feature-rich 16MP (F1.7 aperture) + 5MP (F1.9 aperture) dual-camera on the back with a truckload of features including Background Blur Shape, Portrait Dolly, and Portrait Backdrop. With Background Blur Shape, the device owners can make the pictures turn into animation by adding the soft light effect in different contextual shapes. The Portrait Dolly feature delivers a moving GIF image with zoom movements in the background for a cinematic photography experience. The portrait backdrop mode gives a professional touch to photography by creating cool and funky backgrounds effects.
On the front too, Samsung phone houses equally impressive 16MP snapper with a wide-angle lens, which allows more room to capture group selfies without having to worry about cramming the people tightly.
Another notable aspect of the new Galaxy On8 is the Samsung Mall. This feature uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help users shop by clicking a picture of the desired product and automatically getting results for the item across popular e-commerce platforms.
It also comes with "Chat Over Video" feature which allows an uninterrupted and uncompromised video viewing experience while chatting, hence eliminating the need to compromise between video viewing or chatting. The transparent keyboard allows the user to continue watching the video while enjoying the video content, the company claims
Also, the Galaxy On8 is one of the most affordable Samsung phone to boast the Infinity Display design, which up until now was exclusive to flagship Galaxy S, Note and A series. With the new design, the consumers are sure to enjoy wide-angle cinematic viewing experience on the huge 6.0-inch HD+ screen.
Other stipulated features include Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, Android Oreo software, and a 3,500mAh battery, which is more than sufficient to keep the phone running for more than a day under mixed usage.
