Release details of Samsung's Galaxy Note Edge have surfaced online, revealing the regions which are slated to receive the limited edition flagship phablet.
Samsung community website, SamMobile has claimed that Samsung will release the new Galaxy Note Edge for €899 in select Asian and European regions starting with Denmark on 12 December.
Even India, the world's third biggest smartphone market is also slated to get Galaxy Note Edge (SM-N915G). Word on the street is that Samsung is expected to release the device by this year-end. [More informations, HERE]
The revelation comes just days after the company announced Galaxy Note Edge as a limited edition model to be released only in select regions. Since the official launch on 4 September, the company has so far released the phablet only in USA, Japan and South Korea.
Last week, Samsung initiated a promotional campaign via Facebook in Germany asking whether the local fans wanted the curved display-based phablet.
The response from the public was overwhelming with more than 160,000 (and counting) people requesting the company to launch the phone and Samsung happily obliging to announce the release details soon.
For the uninitiated, Galaxy Note Edge packs the pretty same internal hardware specifications (including S-Pen functionality) seen inside the flagship phablet Galaxy Note 4, sans the display specifications. It boasts of a 5.6-inch (quad HD Plus resolution) unique curved edge screen which provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality – even when the cover is closed.
Under the hood, it packs 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory (expandable up 64GB), a 3220 mAh battery and comes in two CPU variants - one packing the company's in-house built Exynos 5433 series Octa-core CPU (1.9GHz quad-core+1.3GHz quad-core +ARM Mali T760 GPU) and another with 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 420 graphics engine.
On the camera front, it houses a 16.0-megapixel camera with auto focus and smart OIS (Optimized Image Stabilization) and a 3.7-megapixel snapper with F1.0 aperture, wide selfie feature and many more value-added photography enriching apps. (scroll down for detailed specifications)
