South Korean technology giant Samsung is rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for many of its devices. According to reports, the latest to get the update is Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0.
Last week, Samsung has started releasing updates for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Galaxy S2 Plus, and the latest one to follow suit is Galaxy Note 8.0. According to GSM Arena, the update is currently available in the UK and other are countries expected to receive it soon. It was also reported that Galaxy Note 8.0 is likely to get more updates in the near future.
The latest update has brought a slew of new features in the tablet which includes multiple-user accounts, lockscreen widgets, DayDream and two-tier notification panel. Galaxy S4 Google Play edition also received the latest Android 4.3 update. This update is said to bring changes like restricted profiles, dialpad autocomplete and new camera user interface.
Samsung is not the only company releasing the Android update to its devices. Its Japanese rival Sony is also in the list. Surprisingly, Sony was among the first to announce the list of devices which is due to get the newest Android version in the coming months. Among the devices which will receive the update are Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP and Xperia Z Ultra. The company also rolled out the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update to its Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR.
