Samsung launched its 2016 flagship Galaxy Note 7 on Aug. 2 and it has officially released the handset in the world's second largest smartphone market in India. The company had sent out invites asking the media to "join us as we unveil the Next Big Galaxy and see what it can do for you."
At the launch event in India, the company explained all the new features of the new Galaxy Note 7 and introduced Gear Fit2 and GearIconX fitness accessories. But the main highlight of the event was the Galaxy Note 7 in its full glory, showing off the waterproof capabilities and Iris scanning technology.
Samsung highlighted the 7 innovations that embrace the Galaxy Note 7. It is the all-new design, advanced S-Pen, upgraded security, entertainment powerhouse, best camera, unparallelled performance and finally a "galaxy of possibility". Since the specifications of the device were no secret to its fans, the company made sure it gave something bigger at Thursday's event – the price.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will cost Rs. 59,900 in India and it will be available in gold platinum, silver titanium and black onyx colour variants starting Sept. 2. The company is accepting pre-orders for the phone on its official website.
