Samsung Electronics unveiled the much-awaited Galaxy Note 4 in Berlin on 3 September but didn't reveal the exact release date of the phablet other than hinting that it would be available in stores in October. However, a retailer has gone ahead with pre-orders for the device, claiming that its shipping would begin early next month.
Online retailer Unlocked Mobiles has opened pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the UK with a price tag of £599.98 though speculations are doing the rounds that it would only cost around £550. It went on to claim that shipping of the device is expected to begin on 3 October. However, Samsung is yet to announce when the shipping of the device would start.
O2 has also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will arrive in late September but hasn't opened pre-orders yet, according to a report by Trusted Reviews. It also didn't reveal the pricing of the next-generation phablet.
The South Korean electronics giant unveiled its Galaxy Note 4 at its Unpacked event on Wednesday after months of speculations. It revealed the specifications of the device and said that it would be made available for buyers in October but didn't mention the pricing and exact release date.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 came with several feature upgrades. It sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) Super AMOLED display with 515 ppi (pixels density) screen resolution, and comes with metal frame and Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor /1.9 GHz Octa-Core (1.9GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad-Core) processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) operating system.
As reported earlier, the device boasts of a 16MP rear camera with auto focus and Optical Image Stabilizer, and a 3.7MP front camera with f1.9. It comes with 32 GB internal memory, 3GB RAM and micro SD slot up to 64GB. It also comes with sensors like Gesture, Accelerometer, Geo-magnetic, Gyroscope, RGB, IR-LED, Proximity, Barometer, Hall Sensor, Finger Scanner, UV, Heart Rate Monitoring, and SpO2.
The new phablet also has add-on features like Download Booster, S Health 3.5, Dynamic Lock Screen, and Briefing. With a dimension of 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm, 176g, the device comes packed with Li-ion 3,220mAh battery. Its S-Pen also comes with Air Command, S Note, Snap Note, and Direct Pen Input updates.
Samsung said at the unveiling event that the Galaxy Note 4 will be available in "Charcoal Black," "Frost White," "Bronze Gold," and "Blossom Pink" in global markets starting in October.
