Samsung's much awaited 2014 flagship phablet Galaxy Note 4 is reportedly making its debut in September first week.
Popular media house, The Korea Times, citing senior executive of a tier-1 Samsung supply partner has claimed that the smartphone leader is expected to pull the wraps-off the fourth generation Galaxy Note on 3 September, just days ahead of the international electronics trade show IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2014, Germany, which is scheduled to kick-off on 5 September.
The new Galaxy Note is expected to hit stores early in order to offset the launch of Apple iPhone 6 series, which is expected to debut the very same month (on 19 September, read the report, here).
Samsung is a bit under pressure to raise its stakes as the company reported a loss of profits (close to 25 percent). The company has been witnessing decline in the three previous quarters, which is its weakest since 2012, reported Reuters.
The smartphone leader is facing competitions from both sides –top end (from Apple Inc.) and lower segment market with emerging Chinese firms- Huawei and especially three-year old, Xiaomi, who recently displaced tier-1 brand, LG from the top 5 leader chart.
In its bid to arrest the declining profits, the South Korean company is contemplating to incorporate different design for the Galaxy Note 4 with bendable OLED displays. The new phone will keep the same screen-size (5.7-inch) of Galaxy Note 3, but boast QHD (2560x1440p) resolution.
