Samsung Electronics is all set to release its upcoming next-generation device dubbed as Galaxy Note 4 next month but smartphones like Nexus 6 and Xiaomi M4 may affect its business besides the 5.5-inch model of iPhone 6.
The South Korean electronics giant has announced that it will host Unpacked event in Berlin, Beijing and New York City simultaneously on 3 September. Reports suggested the device might be released on 15 September, almost two weeks after the unveiling event.
Galaxy Note 4's biggest threat is Apple's iPhone 6, which is expected to be unveiled in September, but it can't underestimate cheaper devices like Nexus 6 and Xiaomi M4. In fact, these smartphones have the potential to eat up the revenue of the much-awaited phablet because of low price and promising features.
TechTimes has claimed that the device may come with a price tag of $813, which is more than double the price of Nexus 6 and Xiaomi M4. The price of Nexus 6 is expected not to be very different from its predecessor, which costs $349 for 16GB and $399 for 32GB. According to Indonesian retailer, Erafone's revelation obtained by Droid Life, Galaxy Note 4 may come with 16/32/64GB internal memory and 4GB RAM, which is superior Nexus 6 and Xiaomi M4. It was earlier reported that Samsung's new phablet might come packed with only 3GB RAM, which is seen in Galaxy Note 3.
It's not very fair to compare Galaxy Note 4 with Nexus 6 and Xiaomi Mi4, as they belong to different category of device and price difference is huge but one can't rule out the potential of these mid-ranged smartphones to affect the business of the phablet considering popularity in emerging markets.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be shipped to the US through major wireless carriers like AT&T, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless upon launch.
