More features of Samsung's next-generation smartphone dubbed as Galaxy Note 4 have been leaked as its release date draws near. New report has claimed that the new device will come with memory upgrade over its predecessor, Galaxy Note 3 with 4GB RAM.
It what seemed like an accidental revelation, Indonesian retailer, Erafone leaked several specifications of Galaxy Note 4 on its website before pulling it down later probably after intervention by Samsung Electronics. However, Droid Life has got a snapshot of the page. The new device is going to be powerful if the list of features in the site turns true.
According to the retailer, Galaxy Note 4 will come in 16/32/64GB variants with 4GB RAM, contradicting earlier reports that it might come packed with 3GB RAM, which is seen in Galaxy Note 3. Interestingly, gadget lovers had expressed their wish for memory upgrade.
The listing revealed that Galaxy Note 4 will sport a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 (515 ppi pixels density) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, powered by a 2.5-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, run on Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS and come packed with 16/32/64 GB internal memory, 4GB of RAM and microSD upto 128GB. The device may also have a16 MP camera with 3456x4608 pixel, optical image stabilisation, autofocus and duel-LED flash.
In terms of connectivity, the device will have a 4G LTE radio, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, EDR, and LE.
Several specifications, including screen size and resolution, processor, operating system, and camera are in sync with earlier reports. AnTuTu benchmark listings claimed that Samsung would launch two models of Galaxy Note 4, one to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, and the other with Exynos 5433 8 Core processor. G4Games (via ETNews) reported that camera pixel of the new device might be reduced to 12MP but with OIS feature, contradicting Erafone's revelation.
Samsung will release two models of Galaxy Note 4 - one with a curved OLED display and the other with a flat OLED display, reported the Korea Times. Executive Vice President of Samsung's mobile business, Lee Younghee also told Wall Street Journal that Samsung is planning to introduce flexible display for the next generation device. The S-Pen Stylus may have updated gestures and air command, and a patent application of Samsung obtained by Galaxy Club claimed that it will be powered by ultrasound technology.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Price:
The South Korean electronics giant has announced that it will host Unpacked event in Berlin, Beijing and New York City on 3 September but it hasn't revealed other details. However, a report by TechTimes has claimed that the device may come with a price tag of $813, and would be cheaper with a 2-year contract. It is expected to be shipped to the US through major wireless carriers like AT&T, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless upon launch.
