Samsung's much-anticipated new generation phablet Galaxy Note 3 is reportedly powered by Snapdragon 800 series chipset.
Korean media house, MK News revealed that the South Korean company would use Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 800 series quad-core chipset to support LTE-Advanced network connectivity which enables the smartphone to transfer data twice the speed than the current 4G network.
It was earlier reported that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would be powered by the company's in-house built Exynos Octa-core processor. In the light of new report, many tech blog believe that Samsung might probably release two variants of Galaxy Note 3 - one with Exynos chipset for developing markets like India, China, and other Asian regions and another variant with Snapdragon 800 processor that supports LTE-Advanced network for developed countries in North America and Europe.
MK News also reported that Samsung initially experimented with 5.99-inch display for the new Galaxy Note 3 device, but after taking note of the market reaction to the company's Mega (5.8 and 6.3) series smartphone, they decided to go with 5.7-inch screen.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to sport a super AMOLED screen with full HD resolutions and run on the latest Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS with 3GB RAM. It is also rumoured to house a high-end 13.0-megapixel camera with Xenon flash which can record full HD 1080p video.
